Functional Support Engineer

For an internationally-oriented, Dutch production&distribution company near Wageningen / Veenendaal, we are currently looking for a new Functional Support Engineer.

You will work in the Global IT department (approximately 40 colleagues) in the Application Team where we ensure that all processes surrounding production, purchasing, sales and distribution function optimally. In the triangle of application, technical and functional management, you are the functional conscience of the panorama of applications. We have our own ERP system too. You understand all the ins and outs and you oversee the consequences of the requirements / wishes of the users. You translate these into functionalities in the applications and the correct layout.

As Functional Support Engineer you provide support to the end-user and you are in contact with the suppliers.

What do we ask?

• You have a Bachelor/HBO thinking and working level and preferably have completed education in Computer Science/Business IT or a cognate subject.

• + 5 years of experience with Functional Administration (preferably within a production/manufacturer/logistics environment).

• You have extensive experience with BiSL and ITIL methodologies and practices.

• In the field of software, you are familiar with ERP solutions, e.g customised or off-the-shelf (e.g. MS Dynamics 365).

• Preferably, you have thorough database knowledge (e.g. SQL). 

• You are entrepreneurial and as a result, you are proactive and autonomous.

• Native command of the Dutch language and good English are both essential.

• You are analytically strong, you work accurately and you can guide the business well because you have strong communication skills and you work in a relationship-oriented manner. If something goes wrong, you don't mind diving into the technology, while constantly keeping your users informed.

Depending on knowledge and experience, a salary range between 60K-75K per year.
